Overflow Relief Gully Trap Maintenance / Repair (Replacement)

Our standard gully trap replacement price includes the disconnection and removal of the existing concrete gully trap, supply and installation of a new UPVC gully trap, reconnection of existing discharge pipes, and secure concrete base with proper haunching. Please note this offer applies to residential properties only and excludes commercial installations. In cases where the existing gully trap does not comply with current standards, additional charges may apply. We recommend reviewing our gully trap installation guidelines for more details.

All installations follow approved NZ methods to ensure durability, functionality, and easy maintenance. Gully dishes must be installed no less than 25mm above paved surfaces or 100mm above unpaved surfaces, with the grate positioned no more than 600mm above the water seal. Waste pipe outlets must sit at least 20mm above the water seal and below the grate for easy cleaning. To protect the installation from potential damage, the gully trap, riser, and dish must either be surrounded by a minimum of 75mm of concrete or protected using compacted selected fill.

Driveway/Garage Channel Supply and Installation (Price per Meter)

Whether you need a cesspit to connect a drainage coil (NOVACOIL) behind a retaining wall, link it to a driveway channel, or replace an old unit, this special offer is designed for you. It includes the supply and installation of 1 x 450mm x 450mm x 600mm residential-grade cesspit, available in square or round format, complete with a steel grate to effectively manage surface water. The package also covers excavation and/or concrete cutting for proper placement, along with a half-siphon connection to an existing point of outfall not more than 1 metre away. Cesspit risers are available for installations deeper than 600mm, and sealed cesspit solutions are also offered for soak holes and underground water management.

All work is carried out to New Zealand Building Code (NZBC) standards and comes certified and warrantied. Key installation requirements are outlined in NZBC documents G13/AS2 and E1/AS, which you can access in our Free Download Standards section. These standards ensure your drainage system is constructed to:

  • Convey foul water to an appropriate outfall

  • Resist blockages and root intrusion

  • Allow for maintenance, ventilation, and structural protection

Euro Plumbing uses a range of approved pipe materials for such installations, including Concrete, Ceramic, Vitrified clay, Steel, Ductile iron, UPVC, HDPE, and ABS, ensuring compatibility with both modern and legacy systems.
