Our expertise covers all aspects of domestic drainage. We handle the fundamentals, like installing and repairing sewer and stormwater systems using PVC, earthenware, or concrete pipes, as well as managing roof and surface water with downpipes and driveway channels. We also specialise in more complex projects, including the design and installation of onsite sewage systems, retention and detention tanks, and subsoil drainage to sort out flooded basements. For maintenance and diagnostics, we provide CCTV drain inspections and unblocking services to keep your systems flowing smoothly.
Overflow Relief Gully Trap Maintenance / Repair (Replacement)
Our standard gully trap replacement price includes the disconnection and removal of the existing concrete gully trap, supply and installation of a new UPVC gully trap, reconnection of existing discharge pipes, and secure concrete base with proper haunching. Please note this offer applies to residential properties only and excludes commercial installations. In cases where the existing gully trap does not comply with current standards, additional charges may apply. We recommend reviewing our gully trap installation guidelines for more details.
All installations follow approved NZ methods to ensure durability, functionality, and easy maintenance. Gully dishes must be installed no less than 25mm above paved surfaces or 100mm above unpaved surfaces, with the grate positioned no more than 600mm above the water seal. Waste pipe outlets must sit at least 20mm above the water seal and below the grate for easy cleaning. To protect the installation from potential damage, the gully trap, riser, and dish must either be surrounded by a minimum of 75mm of concrete or protected using compacted selected fill.
